Music is bliss. It is a form of entertainment that is meant for the purpose of relaxation as well as amusement. Music comes from Greek µ??s??? (mousike), "(art) of the Muses". It is a form of art and has a medium of “sound.” Some of the most common elements are pitch, rhythm, dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. Of course these all are scientific terms.

According to musicologist Jean-Jacques Nattiez, "the border between music and noise is always culturally defined."

The significance of this art varies from culture to culture and different social context. Some of them are in the form of classical music, some hold a connection with rock genre, some have strictly organized compositions, some exist in the form of re-mixes, and part from these there are hundreds of other forms as well. Within the world of arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art, and auditory art.

Different cultures define music in their own ways. Greek philosophers and ancient Indians defined music as "tones ordered horizontally as melodies and vertically as harmonies."

Performance forms an integral part of this art as it is the physical expression of music. The piece of art is performed in front of the audience, then in order to enhance its quality, it can be either be rehearsed or improved, depending on the requirements.
